Ingredients

  • ½ KG medium size Shrimp
  • 2 tablespoon fresh milk
  • 8 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pieces raw eggs
  • 2 cups cooking oil

Method

  1. Wash shrimps then peel and devein it.
  2. Marinate the shrimps with an extracted lemon juice for about 20 minutes.
  3. Mix cornstarch, flour, and salt in a bowl. Add eggs and milk. Stir gently until all the ingredients are well distributed.
  4. Heat a frying pan and then pour the cooking oil. When the oil is simmering and obviously hot enough, lower the heat. 
  5. Soak a piece of shrimp in your batter, leaving the tail uncoated then deep-fry until the color turns golden brown and the texture becomes crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan or fryer then drain in a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve with sweet chili sauce or mayonnaise with finely chopped garlic.
