Filipino Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 180 gram block of processed filled cheese or
  • cheddar cheese ( or left over keso de bola )
  • 1 pack spring roll wraps around 30 pcs
  • water for sealing the spring roll wraps
  • bacon or ham (optional)
  • 1 cup Canola cooking oil

Method

  1. Slice the cheese into sticks with a thickness of ½ cm and a length of 3 – 4 inches.
  2. Divide the spring roll wraps, cutting diagonally to make two triangles.
  3. Wrap the cheese (and meat of choice if any) with spring roll wraps.
  4. Seal the edges with water.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan. Make sure it is completely hot before frying the cheese sticks.
  6. Deep-fry the cheese sticks for 3-5 minutes or until the spring roll is golden brown.
  7. In a small bowl combine equal portions of ketchup and mayonnaise, use as dip.
