Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Ground Black Pepper
- 2/3 cup fat-free milk
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup real Bacon Bits
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- In a saucepan, put about 1-inch deep of water and place broccoli and bring to a boil.
- Lower the heat and simmer covered for 3-5 minutes or until crisp and tender.
- Meanwhile, in another saucepan, combine the cornstarch, salt, pepper and milk until smooth.
- Let it boil. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until sauce thickens.
- Add in onion and cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
- Drain broccoli and stir into the cheese sauce.
- Move to a 1-qt. baking dish greased with cooking spray or a little bit of oil
- Sprinkle top with parmesan cheese.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Makes 4 servings.
